HISTORY of AESTHETICS

Philosophy Thinking Beautifully

The research in history of aesthetics is predominantly focused on medieval, Renaissance, and modern aesthetics, as well as on contemporary phenomenological approaches. The main interest here is the question: what does it mean to think about beauty and art philosophically? What is the specific nuance that philosophy brings to these considerations?

HEIDEGGER INTERPRETATIONS

Language, Conceptuality, Art

The research in Heidegger's philosophy is equally focused on his early and later writings, but thematically focused on questions of language, language of philosophy, and philosophy of art. Methodologically, the interpretative approach is minute text analysis directed on revealing the inner workings and movements of Heidegger's concepts and writing strategies, with particular stress on phenomenological and hermeneutical method.

ONTOLOGY of ART

Ontology of the Artwork Creation

The research in the field of ontology of art is focused on the ontology of the artwork production, centering around the concept of artwork's creative principle (logos). These fundamental investigations are a product of collaboration with Srđan Šarović.

BOOKS

Elaborations and More

Published books concern some of the distinctive topics defining the directions of philosophy endeavors: Heidegger's philosophy of art, Heidegger's philosophy of language, and the problem of founding aesthetics as a philosophical discipline (Baumgarten).
Soon to be published are four books dedicated to the ontology of artwork creation, in collaboration with Srđan Šarović.

GENERATIVE ART

LOGOS: The Method of Complete Individualization (of Large Series)

OCC GEN ART
The artworks in this generative project are created according to the creative Principle of Complete Individualization (of Large Series); as such, they belong to OCC GEN ART. The project encompasses seven co-series, with each series consisting of thousands of NFT paintings (art pieces). All seven co-series were made according to the same focus-concept and using the same technical procedure; they differ in basic drawings common to all members of the series, but they are all created as visual interpretations of the focus-concept. Each art piece in each of seven co-series has unique and original visual composition.

LOGOS: Zitchalo

LOGORIA
This generative project was developed according to the Zitchalo creative principle. The project represents a colouristic and compositional exploration, where each art piece generated through the use of random seed proves to be colouristically and compositionally harmonious. Each artwork in the series consists of same predefined visual elements; the number and the composition of elements is randomly defined. Each art piece in the series is a particular world with its specific meaningful structure, ensuring that any redistribution of its visual elements will result in meaningful and harmonious composition. Also, each art piece is animated and interactive, so that the composition can be explored in numerous ways.

LOGOS: Inner space

META ECCLESIAE
Meta Ecclesiae is a generative long-form art project in which an artistically conceived and programmatically executed generative code produces a large series of works, each individual generated piece being realized as a digital drawing rendered through code. This generative system algorithmically constitutes the ground-plan structures of Orthodox churches so that every generated result is a unique variation within a system of predefined parameters: architectural elements, color palette, and contextual environment. The aim of the project is to translate the spiritual and historical logic of this architectural type into a visual and algorithmic language in which each ground plan is read as a structure in which architecture, color, and light are unified into a single system of meaning.
